    Awareness is the First Step to Safety

To avoid danger, you first have to see it coming. Sit for a moment in a Subaru, and you'll see that we've done all we can to help you stay aware of your surroundings at all times. Not only do we design each vehicle for excellent visibility, but we also offer technologies like the rear vision camera that can help you stay aware of your surroundings and other features like Daytime Running Lights (DRL) that help others stay aware of you.

Excellent Visibility

   Each Subaru vehicle is designed to put you in the best possible command position when you drive. That includes making sure that visibility is always optimal. We design our vehicles with generously sized windows and clear lines of sight, so you'll be able to clearly see out of the vehicle and stay aware of your surroundings on all sides.
 

 

Rear Vision Camera

   Your eyes can't be everywhere at once, so we offer the rear vision camera. With this feature, the locations of any obstacles that may be directly behind are displayed clearly on the navigation screen. It's indispensable in crowded parking lots, when backing up, and to help you achieve that extra sense of security that makes every moment behind the wheel a confident one.

 

Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

   While you're carefully watching out for potential hazards out on the road, we work to make sure you can also be easily seen. Daytime Running Lights -- standard on every Subaru -- are on whenever your headlights are off, and can significantly increase the likelihood of you being noticed by other drivers, even in full daylight.

 

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

   Total awareness includes making sure your own vehicle is functioning properly. And because properly inflated tires are essential to driving fully secure, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System found on every Subaru helps you stay aware of potential dangers that might come from under-inflated tires. It continually monitors your tire pressure and lets you know immediately if the pressure drops below an acceptable level.
